The P rime Minister’s “money No Object” pledge to flood victims, I. Am sure is heading for another U-turn on this promise. If our overseas aid budget and our EU budget contribution had been spent on our own people to protect vulnerable areas from flooding, we would not be in this position now. Obviously David Cameron was not in the scouts or he would be following their motto “Be Prepared” a bit more often!
We should be looking after our own first and any money given in overseas aid should be in the form of a loan.
